I eventually went back to Windows 7 and then did a clean install of Windows 10 and after it was finished and updated, I noticed that the AMDAOO interface was showing up as installed with no exclamation marks in the Device Manager listings. If I were updating from Windows 7 or Windows 8 and had the same problem now, I’d use the tool Microsoft later made available wushowhide. diagcab to hide the problem update. sadly I spent at least an hour pursuing this only to find, eventually, that wushowhide. diagcab only works in Windows 10 Pro. It is no help to the thousands of people running 10 Home where it won’t work because there is no Group Policy available. This is so designed by Microsoft who consider the vast majority of Home users to be morons. That aside, I would like to point out that not including this info. re only good for Pro users was a regrettable omission and cost me and probably many others a serious waste of time.
